Schmidolin's Baptism of Fire in Schmitten is the absolute holiday highlight for children. The adventure revolves around helping little dragon Schmidolin to grow up and learn to spit fire.
Exciting Tasks
During the adventure hike, challenging questions will be answered and tests will be passed. Of course, there will be many exiciting discoveries along the way. For example, there is a fire bridge, a dragon slide and a dragon tower just to name a few. Discover the rest yourselves! It is also very important to collect as many flint stones as possible as this is what the little dragon needs to learn how to spit fire.
Between tasks there are many areas to take a break, relax and prepare for the next challenge.
Aim of the Hike
The completion of the challenging tasks does not go unnoticed! Each participant receives a completion certification and is awarded with an adventure pass.
New challenges every year
New tasks are added to Schmidolin's Fire Baptism every year, so it is never to easy for our courageous participants--> Returning is worth it!
Further Information
The adventure passes won at the end of the adventure hike are available free of charge in the Intersport shop at the valley station and in the CityXpress.
You are entitled to a free special drink in AreitAlm restaurant with a filled pass.
The use of the adventure trail is included in the price of the cable car ticket. As a guest at the Hotel Sonnblick, you will receive the Sommercard, which allows you to use the cable cars free of charge!
Getting there
The adventure begins at the mountain station with Areitbahn I, but is also easily accessible from the CityXpress which is a 10 minute walk from the mountain station. The route has a length of about 3 kilometers. From the Hotel Sonnblick, Schmidolin's Baptism of Fire is about 30 mins away.
